My Goofing Off is Catching Up
I am flying up to Portland tomorrow, so no blogging for me. I have been goofing off a lot this week so I have mondo piles of work to do and only 1.5 hours left in my work week to get through them. Egads! How did this happen?I found a funny site with the funniest post here. You don't even have to be from Texas to think it's funny, but it might help.
Next, I am going to throw out a few topics for discussion.
- Which would you rather be: macaroni or cheese?
- Does anybody know what a Hollaback Girl is? And why is Gwen singing about bananas? Am I the only one who thinks that song is dumb?
- Why is that Gorillaz song so damn catchy? Ditto for Weezer. Ditto the Killers. And Arcade Fire. Is it just me, or did suddenly a lot of really good music come out? By suddenly, I mean in the past six months or so. Alright, the past year. There was a really long period of time where I hated just about everything. Now, I love just about everything. Hmm. That's veddy, veddy strange.
Anyway, have a happy Friday the 13th and a Happy Weekend. It's Friday the 13th tomorrow. And I am flying? It's a good thing I'm not superstitious. Much. Excuse me while I go take a Valium!

Oh, and I'd much rather be the cheese.
One last thing...I'd have to agree, at least partially, with your statement about music. I'm still kind of in the hating-pretty-much-everything phase, but some good stuff is out there. Mostly, it's stuff that I've checked out because I've read about it on the blogs rather than hearing it on the radio. So, my faith is being ever-so-alowly renewed, but it's going to be a long process with all the Nickelbacks and Hoobastanks out there.

I am not superstitious either but Friday the 13th does scare me just a lottle. I do things like drive extra careful "just in case".

I know I am having a love-hate relationship with Hollaback Girl. Damn, that's a groovy beat.
I hereby decree that the words "Hoobastank" and "Nickleback" are henceforth, and for perpetuity, banned from being uttered, written or in any way hinted at on this site. Thank you for your cooperation!!
